The rand is the rubber material that wraps the toe area of the climbing shoes. Often the need for rand is not outwardly visible (Sample 1 Photo). Rands gets rips and holes, but also thin spots, which will quickly turn into rips and holes. It also adheres to the sole. Therefore, we can’t replace only the rand. Ideally, it is good to get it replaced before a hole appears. If you are unsure if you need this service, you can email us a photo, or we will contact you once your shoes arrive and let you know that the rands need replacing.
